SEND Explorer supports the addition of reference lines to several visualizations. These reference lines can represent reference range values for an endpoint, exposure values or other annotations that would be useful for interpretation of a visualization.

The following SEND Explorer visualizations support the addition of reference lines:

  • Multi-endpoint Line Graph

  • Scatterplot Timecourse

  • Clinical Pathology vs Histo Severity

  • Exposure vs Histo Severity

  • Multi-study Line Graph

To add reference lines to any of the visualizations listed above, follow the steps below.

  1. Mouse over the intersection of the x- and y-axes in any plot to reveal a gear icon.

  2. Click the gear icon to display an Individual Plot Configuration popup which allows the option to specify one or more horizontal reference lines.

  3. Click on the + icon to add a new reference line.

  4. In the Ref Line 1 text box, type in the text to display above reference line (e.g. high value).

  5. In the Input Value text box, type in the numeric value associated with the Y axis where the line should display.

  6. Click on the box with the dashed line to toggle to different line displays and select a line display format. Note that blank is an option, which allows annotations to be added to the plot not associated with a line.

  7. Click on the + icon again to add additional reference lines.

  8. Click on the - icon to remove a reference line.
